A Birthday Party Fit For 4!

Since we had to cancel Evan's party due to sickness, we had a tiny party on Friday evening. Uncle Jerry came over and celebrated with the three of us. Somehow, there are only pictures of Evan and me though.

I ordered a cookie cake with the plans of a Friday evening, real birthday, cake and candles celebration. I'm glad I did.

Doing the now infamous "choo-choo" (at least in our house)

Yummy!

Present time! (Mommy's out of birthday wrapping paper.)

More trains and more choo-choo!

Evan has a double ear infection and he has started on his antibiotics. He has been in a great mood for the most part, the entire time he's been sick. We are working on a new date in January to throw him a bigger party. Sorry to our friends that we invited then cancelled on. We would have loved to party with you too!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Evan!

My darling little boy:
From the moment I knew you were with me, I have loved you dearly. I have experienced every joy with and about you, and some scares too. Motherhood has been the greatest gift and the wildest ride ever. I wouldn't trade a minute!

Happy Birthday to my handsome, smart, two year old! I'm sad that you're sick and we have to postpone your party but know I will give you anything and everything that I possibly can. I love you!

Happy Birthday!

Baby Conner

These shots were taken Monday, 11/17/08. I have another ultrasound in two weeks. I think I've said it before, but the good thing (probably the only good thing) about being high-risk is seeing the baby monthly or more frequently. The top is a side view and the bottom is Conner waiving at everyone.

Have a good weekend!

We have a name!

Our second baby boy will be named Conner Allen. We can't wait to meet him in April. I will try to scan and post some ultrasound pictures soon.

Tag, I'm It!

My fourth folder was 2008 and this was the fourth picture. It's Evan doing one of his favorite things, brushing his teeth. I have no idea of the exact date of this picture as it was one of those that didn't get a date stamp when the camera went nuts one day.

I'll tag my sis-in-laws, Heather and Katy, and see what they'll post. I know they have lots of pictures. I see them on Snapfish all the time!

Trying to take the perfect picture

I tried to get Evan to pose for his birthday party invitation but it was no easy task. Here are a few of our shots, in chronological order...

Why even look at the camera?

at least he's somewhat smiling

What picture is complete without red chair and grape in mouth?

and the ultimate winner. We just gave up after a while!

Here's hoping your Turkey Day was happy and the rest of the year is great!

Without a Title

Since a few of you have checked on me, I figured I would throw up some pictures of my little man. It's hard to believe that he will be 2 in a matter of weeks. We are all good. Baby boy #2 is developing right on track and I am 20 weeks tomorrow. I will try to scan the latest ultrasound from Monday soon so you can see how big he looks at 11 ozs.

Doesn't everyone wish Happy Meals really made you this happy?

Mike said that this pic shows that Evan is just like his daddy... always on the box (meaning ambulance)

Have a good weekend!

P.S. We are close to a name. As soon as we nail it down, there will be a blog address and name change. Stay tuned!

Halloween

We went to the Mall of Georgia for Trick or Treating this year. Evan was a lion. He figured out that the costume had something to do with candy so it was instantly a keeper. He didn't want to wear the top half when we ate dinner out, before trick or treating.

One of the few times Evan trick or treated out of the stroller

Hope your Halloween was happy!

It's a Boy!

It looks like I will be saving money on new children's clothes and toys. We are having another boy. There is no disputing the ultrasound. It was as clear as a bell, both times I saw the goods. I think I emailed a lot of people and told them but wanted to put up a small blurb. We have no start to names, as we were really hoping for a girl this time...but maybe in the future. Maybe we will come up with something soon!

Photo Time

I took Evan to Target last Wednesday for some 22 month pictures. I figured that I haven't been the best photographer lately so someone needed to be. I also couldn't pick just a few pictures so there's a slew of them below. Margaret at the Duluth SuperTarget is one of the best photographers ever. I know my old-roomie Jenn takes her daughters there and she always has super cute pictures too. Here's a look at my growing boy.

Wedding Weekend

On Sunday, Christina and Jeremy tied the knot. This has been a long, 10+ years, coming.

Here's Cole walking the bride down the aisle.

Family Weekend

The party started on Friday evening. Katy, Derrick, Derrick George, and Leah rolled into town and Evan was so excited. The boys got right down to business...

I think I startled Miss Leah. I didn't get another picture of her looking at the camera though, or I would have posted it.

Katy and the boys

Saturday brought a trip to Randy's Pumpkin Patch. The boys had a great time running through the rows of pumpkins

but didn't quite get the size chart

Nana Jackie treated the boys to pony rides. Derrick liked his better than Evan did

and Sunday was park day before everyone went home

Have a great week!
