My Day Off

I had today off because it was Mike's regular work day and Mom (Lola) had a workshop to attend. Evan and I slept in (until 9:00) and got motivated to go out around 1:00 PM. If I were a stay at home mom, I would never get anything done! Cole had a doctor's appointment around 1:00 so Evan and I headed across town and met Cole and Christina at Stonecrest Mall.

As soon as we got into the main part of the mall, there was a huge Christmas tree. We decided to use it for our first photo op. I just can't believe Christmas will be here in another 6 weeks or so.

Evan and Cole spent some quality time in the kiddie area. Here's my little one about to get toppled at the bottom of the weird band-aid slide. Luckily, no kids under 3 feet tall were harmed after this picture was taken.

Taking a break by the apple shaped chair

and then we grabbed dinner at the Ruby Tuesday's. Cole was very helpful in keeping Evan beside the table and occupied.

Carrying Evan back to the table

With these two, everything's funny

Stealing from Katy, AWWWWWWWWWWWW!

PEACE! and Goodnight!

Thanks to Christina and Cole for getting us out of the house today. We had a great time. Cole, you are the best helper when it comes to Evan. He really looks up to you and loves you. You make him laugh and laugh and laugh! We'll see you on Saturday!

Sounds like fun! It seems like Christmas trees/decorations/music go upearlier and earlier every year! As a stay at home mom it is hard to get moving sometimes. I wish I had more of a schedule as my morning shower happens anywhere from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm!!!!

Andrea - I envy that you are a SAHM. The holiday decorations do go up earlier every year. It's weird when it's 80 degrees outside and Christmas decor all over, inside.

Katie - after I saw that picture, I knew I had to post it for you. I think I told Christina that Evan was channeling his inner Katie or something.

AWWWW, what sweet pictures! You are brave to let little Evan play in the playground. Morgan is 3 and gets hurt almost every time by other kids it seems! Glad that you had a good time on your day off! I have 2 coming up next week and I can't wait!!!

Cole and Evan are so cute together. That play place looked cool. Lindsay would have loved the apple chair for sure. I concur about the bandaid slide, that's just weird.
Have a great weekend!

Becky and Chris - I'm with ya. The thing looks weird and is knid of freaky but the whole play place is sponsored by Rockdale Hospital so it kind of makes sense.
